Long Beach illegal pipes
Yesterday after attending the LA calender motorcycle show, there were signs on Ocean Blvd. warning riders they will be ticketedfor illegal pipes. I have never seen a Harley outside a showroom in SoCal with stock pipes. Are the police writing thousands of tickets, or is it psychological warfare on bikers?

Yup, got the loud/unstamped pipe law here in Denver (which I've been flagrantly disobeying)...I've rode through downtown afew times since it went into full effect (7/1) sporting my obviously non-stock V&H straights...I was actuallywaiting at a red light downtownlast weekend when a LEO pulled up right beside me (I was in the L.H. lane, LEO in the rightand my pipes were in clear view)...I was thinking "Aww, man here it comes!" but the light changed ,and the LEO drove on...no problems (so far).

I was there also, but didn't see any signs. I think they were trying to keep it quiet. Also, watch out on Nohl Ranch road. Some Neighborhood biddy is out with a decibel meter.
