I am going to pick up some I bought today. Are all years the same or are some years different? I don't know what year bike these are off and want to know about putting them on my 02 Fatboy. I would assume that pre 2000 bags are different and mght need custom brackets to attach. Is this correct? Also, will I be needing the brackets to attach these? Does anyone have a part number for these brackets or have any used ones for sale? Thanks all.

 

If you're talking about the bags from a FLSTC the yes you'll need the forward bracket. It mounts at the same place the passenger peg attaches. Not sure about the P/N., did a quick ebay search with no luck...post a request in HD Forum classifieds

 

Not sure about the pre-2000 spacing. It may be different...

200-up, all are the same spacing...just need the previously mentioned lower bracket along with the mounting hardware up at the struts.

As a note...I'm using the Springer lower brakets. They go BEHIND the passenger peg mounting boss instead of in front like the stock FLSTC/I bracket. It doesn't need the rubber isolated stud. The whole kit (# 90238-00) was about $10 at the dealer.

 

I got the bags home. They have april 1992 stamped on the back along with 595 and 102.
