Default Tire rims edge damage after tire change.....normal

I am so pissed...I take care of my Dyna so much and I had to have my tires refitted after the spoke broke and the tech damaged the rim at the edge on several places....
is this normal.....his boss wanted to make excuses that it is normal but I said it is not and he can do it without edge damage...
he took off the black surface in few places.....

I was super pissed and I don't know what to do it in this case....I am pretty sure every Harley owner would be pissed if this happens.....
so did this happened to you before or not?

They said they will replaster next time, but I doubt it....how can they repair the damage....
I really take care of my bike, and then this happens...

when you found it, did you take the bike home? if you were unhappy and unwilling to accept the outcome, you may have considered telling them that you appreciate that they would be willing to repair it next time you come in and then look at him square in the eye and say..."I'm back"

let's see some pics my friend, you may see it as a major blemish, others may never ever ever see it unless you point them to it specifically

Post some pics.
I've had many tires replaced, some by me using just tire irons, and others by competent shops. Never had a problem with damage. Any shop that damages your property should give you a new one at no charge.

Had a dealer put marks on my front wheel all the way around the thing after they installed a tire. Boogered the wheel up big time. Took it right back to them and made them replace the wheel. They were replacing the tire under warren

Yeah, I don't know what it is about tire shops. They seem to be in a competition with each other to see how much they can vandalize a bike before the owner says something.
It's like you just go in for an oil change, and they key your bike on purpose...
I just don't get it.

If it was normal, it would come from the factory looking like that.
Stuff like that is only normal at Chuck's Deluxe.

You should get it back the same way you bought it in. I’ve had at least 7 sets of tires mounted on my black powder coated rims with NO damage. Demand suitable repair or replacement.
