Default HD switching to Non delphi ECM - no more tuners for 2021

This is what I have seen on one of FB forums just yesterday. Not sure this is true but poster said it is highly secured and way mote advanced module that will take long time to hack and it is expected even after that only some capabilities will be possible to overwrite. Wonder if anyone heard of that.if true it was being sad it can take months to overcome this hickup HD might throw at us so we dont play with their bikes as much as we do now.

Dynojet is already working on Power Vision compatibility, once there is functionality we will need to develop all new maps.

new Delphi MT22 ECM

new ISO 19689 OBD data port replaces the current 6 pin data connector

This seems to be the way the world is going today. With so many people uploading their personal information into their vehicles, they have become excellent targets for hackers. GM is in the midst of this transition right now and numerous performance junkies are trying to figure out how to get in, while GM is trying to figure out who to LET in. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if HD did up the barbed wire around the bike's ecu. Look back and you'll see that even John Deere was in the midst of a hullabaloo about "locking" their ECUs in their tractors and equipment! TRACTORS!!!!!! LoL

Me? I still like crank windows myself.....

Fake news!

Harley should have their tuner ready in a couple months and the aftermarket will follow suit, as they always do.

I don't think that is correct. I have read that they upgraded the ecm which is already 7 to 10 years old. Like anything else, you have to upgrade as you go.

Theres another thread on this topic somewhere on here. Fuel moto responded and said they did expect any issues with tuning the new system. Necessity is the mother of invention.

My Son's FIL Farms 3000+ Acres, they use all John Deere Equipment. It's not the ECU, it's the Satellite Plant/Harvest System. It's all run by JD Proprietary Software that has to be Updated yearly. With the amount of Equipment they have it's very Costly.

I wouldn't worry too much. Harley couldn't close a screen door with a spring on it.
