Look over is best. My Madstad is adjustable. So i have it so i can look over most of the time. If the weather is hot, i lower it all the way, and, if it starts to rain, i raise it up all the way.

While riding this week end, there was an oncoming flatbed. I was doing the speed limit of 75. Just as the truck passed, something hit me before I could even react. Turned out to be a 5 gallon plastic bucket that had flown off the truck. Glanced off the top of the windshield and the top of my helmet. Windshields do more than protect you from the wind.

I used to look through, but now I look over. I like looking over better.

It's a personal preference I suppose but I've seen folks hunker down when riding so they could look through it instead of over the top. That looks really silly!
