Now you did it.
If you want to have any hope at all of preserving your warranty, you're gonna have to pull the engine out, turn it over, and get every drop out of there. Put the engine back in, and pour the oil from the other side of the bottle.
If you're lucky, the mechanics at the H-D dealer won't notice. Never put any kind of tool on your trike ever again. Let this be a lesson to you.

so far he has ****ed up in epic proportions....everyone knows if you use the long funnel and don't put the kickstand down on a freewheeler, the oil goes into the idiot reservoir....don't take it to a dealer, if they find that reservoir full, it voids your warranty

a 21 freewheeler has an m8 in it, I've never need more than about 4 1/3 quarts to get it to proper level

are you sure you put the oil in the right hole, there's another next to it that only takes a quart of gear oil, can't imagine you did that

Ok, I'm starting to feel bad, so in case this is for real...

Check the Primary, is it overfull?

Check the Transmission, is it overfull?

Check the floor, is there a big puddle?

You had to remove the engine oil dipstick to add the 5 quarts. Are you reinserting (screwing all the way in) and using that dipstick to check your level? Not pulling the transmission dipstick by mistake?

And with that my conscience is clear.... Back to our regular scheduled program.
