Last time I go on a group ride.

Last time I go on a group ride.
I’ve been on a group ride twice before, and they were really more like individual riders heading to the same place.
Today, I went on a dealer group ride, and honestly, although we rode in a group, it was very disorganized. I found myself either braking or accelerating all the time, and constantly felt that I was more concerned about the riders in front of me and worried that the riders behind me would hit me.
I am sure it would be different if I always rode with the same people. But, this is the last time I go on a group ride.
I definitely enjoy riding by myself.

I love group rides. The key is having a good road captain, that sets the rules up front in a riders meeting. If people cannot ride properly as for spacing, staggered position and safely they should be asked to leave the group.
A good road captain will also keep the slinky up and down on the speeds under control as well. It’s just a matter of slowing the pace down.
I also find that people like to be in the back, especially those less experienced. The best and safest place in near the front and the speed differentials are not as extreme either.
Ride safe.

Yep, those who do not know how to ride in formation;
Those that have extremely loud pipes and a tendency to keep twisting the throttle to hear the engine rev;
Those who keep their foot on the brake so the brake light is constantly on;
Along with those who put their tunes on so loud, even with hearing protection it is loud.
Nope, not a group rider, but have rode in a couple of HOG benefit runs.
It is important to note that HOG & Group rides are entirely different from Club rides where everyone in the club knows the rules and formation riding. Nuf said.

If the group ride is from a HOG group, it will be done RIGHT........IMO.
I belong to an American Legion and THEY could not be more F'd up!!!!! I told them so and WHY!!! They ignored me.
Pls don't toss all group rides in the same basket.
Some of us know HOW to do it, and the you have the dangerous A-HOLES!!!
