Nice pics. Did you run the carb dry and drain the float bowl before storing the bike? I do that to carbureted engines that have a fuel shut off valve.
I also treat the gas with Sta-Bil.

If I had been able to store her at my original spot, I would have done that myself. Normally, I add the Sta-bil, run the bike for a few minutes, then the shut the petcock off and let the engine run out of gas. However, I lost that spot last minute, and was forced to store her at the local dealer. Part of the storage fee is "winter prep". It would appear that they missed that step...

Cheers!

Around here, Stewart’s sells 91 octane ethanol free gas and I’ve found my ‘19 Heritage runs fine in it in all but the hottest weather when I might have to alternate tankfuls of Sunoco 93 octane.

Right now 91 octane is around $4.70/gallon in my area. At least it was last weekend when I filled up last. Don’t know what it’s up to today.

30 years ago premium was dime or so more, 10%. Premium has been a lot higher for maybe 20 years now.

Here in the NW, there is a 40-50 cent hike over regular. The mid-grade is right around a quarter higher
