I stop pouring the oil when the steady stream of oil start a slow drip. I then place the quart bottle upside down into the funnel. I wait around 30 seconds and then move on to the next quart.

That was my point. Despite Cosmic's good intentions, most, if not all empty plastic oil/antifreeze containers end up in a landfill instead of being recycled.

I think a pretty good amount of what we all put in the recycle bin ends up in a landfill, somewhere...

My landfill is pretty **** about tires & chemicals. They have designated spots and they get recycled. You also get charged accordingly.
