Default Facebook rip off artists

Just another heads up regarding trying to buy parts on FB. I was looking for parts for my RK Classic and got pics from "Harley Davidson spare parts world" on FB. I wasn't finding a tach or nacelle anywhere else so went to FB.
Figured I would do a reverse search on the images and sure enough, they were original images from someone in Poland! It's sad that you have to deal with these guys, but this is just a reminder to be aware of these idiots.
Here's a pic of the name on FB and the images I got from the scammer.

The scammers spoofed our shop page last week and fortunately someone called the shop about honda parts we had for sale online. Huh ? The caller sent me screenshots of the scammers exchange. I went out on FB and found hundreds of ads for car and MC parts listed "by HCC" and started posting it's a scam and call the shop before buying anything. They posted multiple replies per ad saying they were legit and good sellers. They also had the ability to bury my scam notification posts, I posted in enough ads they gave up and pulled them but they still had another spoof website, I see they took that down when I looked this morning. We started a new shop FB page to distance us from it, it didn't help that we had lost access to the original page earlier.

Beware if you buy anything of FB Marketplace research it hard, look for published phone numbers from other sources and call before placing an order. These scammers are slippery and masters in the art of deception. A local guy here got taken for an engine, the seller provided a photo picture of his license and a pic of "him" with the engine holding a sign with the date.

That's the best plan but sometimes I can't find what I need locally. I got scammed once but since I used the invoice option in PayPal, they refunded the money.

I buy and sell a lot of stuff on Marketplace, but I only deal face to face and cash in hand. I've found some great deals and 99% of the people I dealt with are ok.

On top of that, always, always, always use your credit card...

Some scammers pose as buyers on FB Marketplace, act interested and ask you to repeat a code sent to your phone from FB.

What they are doing is logging in as you and requesting a code to access your FB account, then they use your account for scam sales. Lots of ads for cars that are too good to be true, go to their profile and there will be the same ad in 20 different cities.

This has been my experience as well. I'm always on Marketplace, much to my wallet's detriment.
