Default Removed clear plastic on rear fender so...

When I put my 2 up seat back on hopefully it doenst rub the crap out of the paint on the rear fender. But for those of you who run solo seats and have removed the clear plastic cover on the rear fender, what if anything do you put on the fender when you put a 2 up seat on, or should I even bother to worry about it?

Can't speak from experience but it would probably be wise to put some sort of protection on the fender-your can probably get another sheet of plastic from your dealer or use a couple sheets of 3M paint protection film.

Never thought about this before but you may be right. However I switch 2-up seats frequently and my fender still looks brand new under there. Once I knock the dust of it that is.

The Mustang passenger seat has small rubber bumpers that the seat sits on. I have noticed what look like swirl marks after removing it but I just use a little wax and they go away. I was thinking about getting a sheet of the 3m plastic and running it from fender strut to fender strut and leaving it on. I thought that might be less noticable than thepiecewith the odd shaped edges that came with the bike.
