I'm in the market for a leather rear fender bib to go with a solo lepera saddle on a night train / soft tail.
Can the bib remain in place when swapping back to the badlander seat for 2 up riding? Can this bib replace the heavy plastic protector currently on the rear fender?
The reason why I ask is I'm thinking of repainting the bike and will be removing that plastic protector and don't wish to replace it.
a company called Chillowee out of Flordia makes them, put one on the wifes heritage, looks good and protects the paint. Comes off real easy for 2 up riding
My Mustang fender bib has felt underneath in the middle portion, not the entire bottom. I use it to hide the plastic so the plastic is their for 2 up. I have read that people pull the plastic off and reuse it several times for 2 up.
Get a new piece of the plastic tape from your dealer (about 12.00) Cut it to fit under your bib, and apply it to the fender. It won't show when the bib is on, and it will still protect when you put the two-up seat on. Putting the two-up seat on without it is ASKING for problems.
