If your trailer is legal in the state that it is registered, you are legal for all other states that you pass thru.

Ditto. As your trailer does NOT have a tag however, you may want to bring some proof of ownership for it, just in case. Title, bill of sale with VIN number, etc.

As an LEO in Indiana I see this sometimes. One of our neighboring states (Kentucky) does not require trailer plates. I second that you should just carry some type of proof of ownership and you should be fine. Worst case senario is that you will get stopped by an officer who sees no plate on your trailer and is unable to see that you have plates from a state that does not require trailer plates on your tow vehicle. It should be a quick, thank you, sorry for the confusion stop, and you should be on your way.

same problem here, I have been stopped in Texas before for not having a tag on my trailer. I dont know about you but no proof of ownership here for my utility trailer. Oklahoma will not even give you a tag if it is not a commercial trailer. When i got stopped he just asked where i was going and told me why he pulled me over and said have a nice day. call the tag agency I bet they have a letter from the state saying it is not required. have a good trip

Oklahoma used to require your social number painted on the outside of the trailer. I take a welder and weld my number on underside of the trailer out of sight unless you look under it.

Your good to go as long as it is legal from your state... But when you get to Daytona you will get stopped for a look see and then on your way.. Have some type of ownership on you..... I see it every year I was with Daytona PD for a few years
