does your riding skill degrade over winter

RE: does your riding skill degrade over winter
For me....not really.
I race dirt bike or a quad all winter. So my physical strength and basic turning, braking and acceration skills remain in tact.
That first ride in the spring is refreshing...the feeling of true speed again. Usually it is in Daytona for bike week.

Numb, thanks for the personal experience. Sorry to hear about your stroke. Many on this website don't even know they have hypertension. Most think that they are made of iron. Anyone over 35 needs to take their BP once in a while. Keep the weight down. Remember if you think you look fat your girl things you look fugley.
Back to the original post. My riding skills don't degrade until I get at least a foot of snow built up on me and my body temp goes down to 45 degrees. I get real sluggish then.

so up north here the cold weather is here, soon to be followed by ice and snow. so the bike is put to hibernation for a bit.
