Default Daytona Lodging 2008.....

I just got the word that a buddy & I'll be headin to Daytona for bike week. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Anyone have and suggestions for a decent place to stay or a cool area to stay in?

There are a million motels listed on the Daytona website and I don't have a clue as to where to start.

Check e-bay, there are real good deals on condos where people have time share and sell the lodging for the week at great prices. I got a deal on one last week for a two bed / two bath at ocean walk for 7 nights for 1300.00. There was another that went off this afternoon for a one bedroom w/ qn sleeper sofa (says sleeps 4) for 888.00. That would be 444.00 pp for two people for a seven night stay at a kick *** resort right in the middle of everything. Check it out

My brother and I have had good luck renting condos from owners on websites like homeaway.com or cyberrentals.com. You can email the owner of anything you're interested in right from the website. There are TONS of condos in Daytona, and some do jack up the price for Bike Week, but we've been able to bargain some. We usually pay the equivalent of $80-$90 per night for beachfront. That's a lot cheaper than any of the motels we've looked at.

The closer to ground-zero you want the more bucks will be taken from ya. If you want a condo-type rental there are areas in Palm Coast and Deland that probably won't bite as hard.

Stay in touch, IM or e-mail, I will help the best I can for you.

If you got the bucks and want a real treat, check out condo rentals at Destination Daytona. It will be wild times at that place this year. Check here
