Been about 10 times myself. Where are you staying, north or south? Places to eat everywhere. Don't feel like you have to eat at brand name places either. The Suck Bang and Blow (2 of 'em) are as Bike Week as you're gonna get. Contests, burn out pits, bands etc. Roads are crowded heading north and south. Best vendor places are Broadway at the Beach (Hard Rock, NASCAR Cafe, Planet HollyWood etc.), Murrells Inlet and the Harley Shop south of town. Last couple years there has been more going on outside of town towards North Myrtle atBarefoot Landing. Good bars are Broken Spoke, Club House, Dead Dog and the Beach Club. Beach Club is where we used to watch the bikes go by. Cops don't take any crap ... don't get caught off private property with a drink, titty flashers get arrested, etc.
I found the best ride is south down 17 heading towards Georgia or back to the west towards the mountains, but that;s a couple hour ride just to get there.
Here's a don't. Don't get impatient in traffic. Lots of accidents and deaths due to people pulling out in front of each other. Cage to bike, bike to bike, you have to pay attention. Hwy 17 runs parallell to the beach. Bars, Restaurants, Clubs, H-D shops, etc... everywhere. Good food in Murrell's Inlet which is south of MB. Good fun and food at Broadway at the Beach and up north at Barefoot Landing. Nice place way up north called HB Spokes. SBB in Murrell's Inlet and over on business 17. Lots of fun and lots of traffic. Also lots of fun and vendors by Hooters next to Bass Pro Shop.
Several. Theres one thats right across the street (sort of) from HD in the South. The Iron Gate Bar is also right beside HD and it's also a big event host area. I just can't remember the name of it at the moment.
The Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Play & Stay guide has info on most attractions, maps, and rate charts for the majority of motels and a lot of condos. It used to be a hard book that they would mail to you. It looks like this year it is gonna be online only.
