GPS Question
Looking to purchase a GPS unit for my bike. Looking at the Garmin Zumo 550, but intrested if anyone is using a standard (less exspensive) auto unit on a Ram (or other) mounting system.
Thanks for your reply.

RE: GPS Question
There are probably 4 or 5 other GPS threads floating around here.
I use a MIO c220. About $150 at Radio Shack. Have had no trouble at all with the unit. Totally self contained, touch screen works with gloves on, about 6 hours battery life. I picked it because it was flat on the back. I have my tank bib covered in the soft side of Velcro, and put the 'stiff' side on my GPS; MP3; XM; and even a camers. I can attach whatever I want. Did the same thing when I bought the E-Glide. Here is a picture of the GPS and my XM radio 'velcro'd to my tank bib.

RE: GPS Question
I used to use a garmin 76cs handheld. it has color, backlighting and decent battery life. Ram and MountGuys make handlebar mounts for just about anything. It helped me with the mapping, but didn;t provide Points of interest

RE: GPS Question
I love my TomTom Rider 2. Comes with a Scala Bluetooth headset w/boom mic and a nice RAM mount. I wrote it up somewhere on here a while back.
