Default GPS...which one do you use?

...I'm getting ready to upgrade my GPS (Automotive Street Pilot) and was wondering what everyone uses on the bike and in the car? I like the Zuma but don't travel enough on the bike to justify one. Also anyone using the I-phone on their bike and how does that work?

thanks,
hdtrader

I have a Garmin Zumo 665...GPS, XM Satellite Radio, Traffic, Weather, MP3 player. It's like "information central". It easily moves from my bike to my Expedition, to my Honda Accord....just one push of a button. I had Garmin Streetpilot 2610's for years. The Zumo is a nice replacement.

I use the Garmin 660. I didn't want XM on the GPS because I didn't want to mount the GPS when I did not need it just to get the XM Radio.

Garmin Zumo550 here. Had it three years, update maps once a year, I like the 665 but see no need to upgrade..You can get a reman Zumo from Garmin for half of what they used to sell for.

Garmin Zumo 550 for both car and bike, and I use my iPhone as well. Both work splendidly.

The Droid X smart phones have Google satellite maps/navigation built into them. What you see on the screen is what you see on the road. Also has speaker capability--you just clearly speak you destination and it automatically does the mapping.

I'm sure I'm going to hear how great the ZUMO is and no doubt about it, it is. However, I for one can't justify the cash to purchase one. Check out the Garmin NUVI 550. Presently sells for $220.00. Waterproof, can be used on your bike, in your car, boat, as well as in the bush if you're into Geocaching. Doesn't have all the features of the Zumo but it has all the ones you need. It's very accurate and updates very fast. I would say the only feature it doesn't presently have is Lane Assist.

I used to keep a Garmin nuvi 265 in the trunk while we traveled. This last trip I had mine but my wife's Iphone was great. We used it the whole trip. I'll still bring mine for backup but don't plan on using it.
