RE: got in a fight with my pops wrenching on my harley
I had that kind of relationship with my Father for many many years...then atwo years back called him up and invited him overat Christmas time for coffee & dessert. Sat him down at the kitchen table and told him that we needed to bury the hatchet and forget the past and that I loved him because he was my Father and I was his Son and that could never change...he began to cry right there and every bad experience was gone from there on. I told him he didn't have to feel bad about our relationship because I forgave him for everything he had ever done and wanted a fresh start. It was like a huge weight was lifted off of both of us. He stayed for several hours talking about all kinds of things and when he left he saw my Harley in the garage and told me to never sell it ever....and that he had sold his old panhead at the insistance of my Mother when my older Brother was born in 1951 and was really sorry he did.
I never knew my Dad rode Harley's until then.......I was 52 and he was 78.
I suggest you stop and think about it and make your peace with your Father...you will be glad you did for the rest of your life...

I can't imagine ever speaking to my dad that way or him speaking that way to me.
Lotta good advice here. I'd makeresolving this issue with him a priority - even before finishing the bike.
