Default personal accent console cover install questions

Has anyone else bought the personal accent cover for their rides?

I bought the personal accent cover for the dash console for my 2006 RKC and have a question about how the best way to install it. I know that it is peel and stick. Is there any particular cleaner to use to clean the console before I put it down? Also, which end would you start with meaning - The speedometer end or the other end be the seat?

I just don't want to lay it down and be off just a little and have it look like crap. Any advice / help in this matter is appreciated. Thanks[sm=thanx.gif]

Its fairly typical to clean stuff like that with alcohol. Aren't there any instructions?

I did mine and there were instructions. I used Goo Remover to remove any residual glue and cleaned up with rubbing alchohol. I started at top and just tried to keep the edge gap on both sides even. You might want to not remove the entire backing from cover and only remove as you move down. Just take your time and you should be fine.

I took off the old one first by heating with a hair dryer& peeling off. As said, remove glue with Goo-Gone, finally clean with alcohol. Start putting new one on in the middle, & alternate towards top & bottom. Eye ball it first to make sure it's lined up good. By the way, if you want to take off the old one, the process of taking it off will destroy it.
