Personally I prefer a full face helmet, although I do own a half helmet. What I'd like to know is what kind of helmet do you wear 90% of the time or more? Please cast your vote and also share your thoughts about why you prefer that type of helmet.

No Helmet

Half Helmet

Three Quarter Helmet

Full Face Helmet

 

I prefer my full face helmet because for the protection it offers, but also just as importantly is the comfort. With a full face helmet, I do not get pelted by bugs, rocks or debris. My eyes do not water and I can adjust the airflow/ventialation on my face.

 

I just wear the half helmet. Used to wear full face type when off road, but I guess the image of most HD riders is half helmet. I have a full face, don't wear it much unless its really cold or raining. I've been doing lots of research/reading on the benifits of full face, and I might start wearing it more often.

 

I just wear a novelty helmet, very basic and no internals. It's just to make it look like a helmet, it's against the law not to wear one here.

 

Thats kind of a trick question, I prefer none but if weather is nice wear Skid Lid, if cool 1/2 or 3/4 and when cold and wet full.

 

I use a shorty for quick trips into town and hot weather riding. Most of my riding is done using a 3/4 helmet with face shield. I use a flip-up full face helmet for cold weather riding.

 

I have a full face and a half helmet- I really want to get one of the NXT carbon fiber half helemets.

 

Around town a half helmet, on trips a 3/4 helmet. The 1/2 helmet gives me better awareness of traffic around me.

 

ohio and all surrounding dont require helmets so mine hang in the garage..........but if i need one just a skid lid unless it is a long ride like to the carolinas then full face!!!!!!

 

Half-helmet ONLY. I feel too restricted in any other. Have an earband and baclava for cold weather riding.
