That's spooky, not to mention the rock beating your bike will get from the car's tires. A cover? To what, slap your paint silly? I'll let everyone else try it out first, thanks.

Besides the rock chips,rear tire bouncing up and down,etc-....what about the wear on the primary?
I'll use a trailer!

Frankly, I think there's more danger of rockchips on an open trailer.&nbsp\\; With this thing, the bike is too close to the car for the rocks to get far enough inboard to hit the bike.&nbsp\\; As for the primary, it's not gong to wear any more than it would if the bike was being ridden.&nbsp\\; The shocks can't be hurt by bouncing either\\; that's what they're for.&nbsp\\; I'd have to do more research to decide if this thing would work well, though.

You're kidding, right? Tires pop rocks like tiddlywinks - sideways and everywhere. As for an open trailer, if you have a 2 foot headboard, it's too high for rocks to get over it when it's that close to the pickup. Never had a rock chip in a trailer like that in 25 years.
&nbsp\\;
A bike in that outfit is going to get sandblasted just like the lower part of the headboard and the fronts of the fenders do on a trailer. As a matter of fact, so does the tongue to some extent on a trailer.

might be okay for an emergency or a bike you dont care much about as far as the paint. But I&nbsp\\; agree with the other guys , would be prone to stone chips.
