Exclamation How's this for a road hazard

Comin down the hill from my g-friend's house the other day and taking a sharp and kinda awkward left around the mountain. A grand cherokee is comin' up the mountaing towards me and we pass right at the apex.

AS we pass eachother (going about 35mph) the Jeep's rear driver side door swings wide open and appears to have missed me by a foot or so! I don't know if it woulda knocked me off or If I woulda slammed the door shut, but it just goes to show that danger lurks in every corner.

Be careful ridin' that centerline 'cause even if that car is in their lane, it might try to reach out and grab ya!

Lookin' like those cagers are getting REAL cagey at coming after us.
Brings NEW meaning to the term 'door slammer' in:
"Ride careful and watch out for the door slammers"

Had a similar experience, but child rolled out onto the pavement at the same time.
I skidded to a stop, ran back to the toddler. He was fine, just a couple scrapes, but the Mom was so freaked out she scooped him up and took off in a hurry.

As far as I could tell there was no one in the back. This was a narrow, curvy WV mountain road so getting turned around (especially in time to get to them) woulda been difficult and dangerous to say the least. BUT if I did see someone in the back, I woulda taken that chance!

I was just passing on the right, a car that would not go through the intersection when the pass door swings open and a pair of female legs comes out. I hit the brakes so hard the throttle got twisted and my bike roars like thunder. Needless to say the lady was some suprised.

2kanzam,

Don't mean to hijack your thread but just wanted to compliment you on your bike. Very nice looking ride. You wouldn't happen to have a pic of the other side?
