Default IT almost happen tonight

First off ...Happy thanks giving everyone ... on my way back from girlfriends parents house for dinner tonight riding alone around 9-915pm temps were in the 40's moisture on roads it almost happen .. traveling down a mountain highway in the Sierra foothills where i live doing maybe 55 -60 mph just passing a car traveling other direction i start to see a car coming out a driveway behind a tree and some bushes onto the highway ..he waits for car approaching me to pass then pulls out in front of me and THEN seeing me and stops blocking my lane .. me figuring this could happen i start preparing for him to do this , i let off the gas and get ready to break .. he does it and pulls out im now skidding and sliding straight into his passenger rear door and trunk area .. from this point on everything was slow motion . im thinking OH F*** im either laying it down or im plowing into him .. i had maybe 150 feet max from the point he decided to pull out to try and do something .. all i remember is sliding sideways straighting it out sliding sideways again strasighting it out and one las slide sideways and in middle of slide i straightened it out and i missed his front bumper by inchs .. as i passed it i wish i wasnt still in a slide i would kicked his Grile in or something . as i was sliding pass his bumper avoiding a near impossible situation i was thinking to myself damn how did i not lay it down or miss hitting him .. being a new biker with 2200 miles under my belt on the street and a few decades on the dirt riding / racing motocross this was one of my best saves i have ever done i was rather impressed with how i handled it . if i was going 5-10 mph i doubt i would been walking away let alone Ride away from this ...sorry this is so long .. im juss thankful today to be here . Happy Thangiving everyone

The idiot would be buying me a new rear tire at the very least, to replace the one that he just helped me flat spot! Nice job on the save.

Good story I could visualize that happening. You're reactions were true and luck(preperation and opportunity) was with you. Good for you to anticipate the foolshness, that ability will serve you well. Never take nothing for granted and always be on the ball. I'm glad you came out succesfull.

You're a better man then me. In my younger years I would have stopped or followed him to where ever and bitched them out hard. I know you were just relieved to be a survivor.

If it was a chick, as useless as it would be, I would try to make her understand what she just did and how she could avoid it. I have done that several times to both men and women when I didn't have control of my anger. Its been my experience the cage drive could give 2 shiets.... being all safe behind there 4 sided weapon. I actually had one dude laugh in my face when I confronted him, like it was no big deal to him (in front of his 2 girl friends or course). He wasn't laughing when the lesson was over and either were the chix that were with him.

It happened to me this past April coming home from Ashville,NC and by an illegal immigrent mexican Cck sker(who probably didn't have insurance either). Almost t boned me in my side car rig. He didn't stop he just kept right on going down the road at full f'ing speed. There was no catching him because he left a pile of jacked cars blocking the road, north and south. The only thing that saved me was I noticed the lady in the lane to my right had stopped for some reason, I notice it and started stoppping too just as the illegal mexican ck sker flew by the front of us. I had to hard turn right leaning like a ****** and the illegal mexican ck skr breezed by the nose of my rig by inches. That nice eldderly ladies stopping gave me the room I needed to negotiate the bail out. Don't know what would have happened if she hadn't stopped............

the road was wet so the slide didnt trash the tire to bad .. i was so shook up afterwards i kept putting passed him flipping him off in the dark and pulled over and shut it down and got my nerves back .. ive had a few people cut me off but never yet to be pulled out on like that . i think the damp road helped me to slide it sideways to get it to steer sharper to avoid hitting him ... if the road was dry i could of slowed down .... im just glad he stopped where he did cause 6 more inchs and i would of hit the front bumper and gone down .. i thought about turning around but figured i needed my nerves back and figured they knew they f***ed up
