Vinyl wrap on upper fork tubes
An experiment, but it looks good and holds up. I wrapped the upper fork tubes with #M 1080 Vinyl Car Wrap.
It took 10 minutes. Admittedly, I didn't do a very good job the first time around. I'll redo it over the holiday.
Someone with some skills could use just one sheet, cut it perfectly and get it on straight.
I cheated by applying a 1" strip at each end, then wrapping another sheet across the remaining section (with some overlap.)
If you look close, you can see the overlaps and a small wrinkle. From 10' away, or running down the road, it looks as though the tubes are black.

Looks great.
Just wondering how easy those tubes will slide through the t-clamps when it comes time to install those gators. Might be a bit of a task with that vinyl tape on 'em.
Guess you can always pull the stuff off and replace it.
