Default Engine bar opinions.....

I'm shopping around for a engine guard for the Heritage, So far the Original Lindby Linbar has my attention. Maybe the Multibar but I read somewhere that the Lindbys aren't as sturdy as HD's. Any advice is appreciated.

I have original Lindby's on both of my bikes. The chrome is trying to rust in a couple of places and keep me on my toes polishing it away.

None are made to help in a real crash but all will do there job in a dropped bike thang. I know ,been there. I don't see as many as i use to couple years back so thats good. The old standards do offer better protection if you are going to ever run some kind of weather protection on them.

Just adding it for a foot rest & I would add the wind chaps to keep the wind off my feet in cold weather. Hopefully it will never touch the ground.

While I suppose they would help in a dropped situation, I like the clean look without the bars.
To put things in perspective, a dumbass (me) forgot to put the kickstand down this summer.
Still no bars for me. JMHO.

I have a Lindby hanging on my bedroom wall. It was a bit rusted when I picked it up so I scrubbed all the rust off but it came back. I sanded it down and rattle canned it black but never put it back on.
