Anyone going to the Lone Star Rally this weekend in Galveston? I plan on checking it out Friday and Sat.

I thought it had been cancelled or moved because of the hurricane damage from Ike.

OK, I posted too soon. Just went to the web site and see the rally is on for this weekend. I can't make it but enjoy yourself.

Probably drift on down for a couple hours Saturday afternoon...toy run from League City in AM. Weather is FORECAST to be low 70s and sunny Saturday with clouding on Sunday.

I'll probably go Saturday for a while. I'm sure access to the island will be crowded since the west entrance is still closed from storm damage. That is the way I would have traveled. And I'm not sure if the easy side ferries are running either. So IH45 will be busy.

I'm plannin' to ride down there Saturday for a while to check it out...I hope the debris has been cleared from the roads...I'd hate to pick up a nail while visiting.

I may go down Saturday also. I went to Galveston on Nov 30th for a weeklong cruise and all of the debris was cleared from the roads. I-45 IMHO is one of the more dangerous freeways in the Houston area.
