Trading in My Harley
Hi
I would like some help on deciding whether I should trade in my 2008 Sportster for a used 2006 Dyna with 10,000 miles and some custom work that includes highway bars, backrest, windshield and a speed shifter. I have been considering going to a larger engine but was wondering whether taking this model year might be a mistake longevity wise. I purchased my bike brand new.

Man, did you miss out on thw killer trade-in promotion for Sportsters. It just ended 3/31. Oh, well.
That said, the 06 Dyna is solid. Which model?
10,000 miles still seems pretty new to me. If all the work and add-ons are worth it to you..than it's worth it.

Well you didn't mention the price of this '06... so, how would anyone know if its a good deal or not...
I don't think the mileage is bad... but really depends on the price....
I've got 30 thousand miles on my Sportster... runs like new but I wouldn't get as much for it as one with 10 thousand... just sayin'
You could probably find Dyna's with a whole lot less miles and probably for near the same price...
With an '08 Sportster and you're ready to get rid of it... I wouldn't just jump on the first thing that come up... From the looks of it you've already made one wrong choice...

We don't know what kinda deal your getting but 10,000 is'nt much miles. '06 Dyna's have the 6 speed tranny and EFI. In my opinion the Dyna is one of the best handlin', best looking bikes Harley has. ('specially if it's a Streetbob)..I'd say go for it.

My dealer has extended the trade- in promo through April,I suspect others will too.I wouldn't trade if it was me.
