Floorboards on a Sportster
I mounted a small set of floorboards on my Sportster and want to know what you think about them. They fold up and are very compfortable just wanted to know if you think they set out to far and for cosmetic looks should I go back to pegs.

I had the pegs and the heel rests on my Sporty. Did not even think of the boards for it. I have boards on my Heritage and I love them, but they seem to go with it.
The end result of your question, is do what you want to your bike. I believe in creature comforts and try to stay away from whether or not it looks right.
Do you ride on long trips? If so the boards are wonderful, you can move your feet around much more than you can with just the pegs. Although if you just had the pegs, they suck and you get cramps in your legs trying to keep them on the pegs for long trips. This is why I put the heel rests on the Sporty.
Question to your Question: Do you like them? If so, then keep them on.

I'm doing a four day 1200 mile trip next month and will do another in August so I do some pretty good rides on my bike. But as much as comfort is a priority I like my bike to look good also and just wanted to know if you think the floorboards are setting out to far?

It's gud if you like it! And looks alright too. Now... if you could just get rid of those horrible scooter registration stickers!

Oh, didn't notice they were base issue. Lotsa hoops to get a bike on military installations anymore.
