so I installed SE air cleaner, V&H BSS, and PC V + auto-tune over the weekend.

The bike runs spectacular, so I know the PC V piece is working well.

Couple things I have noticed, and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this,
is that when I start the bike it usually takes 3 or 4 chugs before it starts.
Once it starts there no hesitation or roughness at all, just that it takes noticeably longer to fire up.

Before the install it started more or less instantly. One chug of the starter and it was running.

the other thing I noticed is that when it sits at idle, the idle kinda wanders up and down slightly rather than sitting at a steady pace. Very slight, but noticeable.

Do these sound more or less normal?

If you want it to start right away you can start it before the the engine light goes out. this topic has been discussed ad nauseam in the forums.

 

Those "ad nauseum" discussions seem to center on the PC III and 06 and 07 models.
This is an 09 and a PC V.

Doesnt matter to me if it takes longer. Just wondered if this was normal.

 

My bike fires up first time. Idle is pretty steady too.

09 fxdbi, pcv, v&h ss, and fuel moto se stg 1.

 

Mine starts up right off, but the idle wanders back and forth until she warms up and stabilizes.
