Hello - I have a 2009 Road King Classic with Rinehart slip-ons, HD SE Air cleaner and a PCV.
My bike runs great, except when it gets a little warm out and I stop at a light. When I go to take off it sometimes will die or hesitate when I try to crack the throttle.
I tried reflashing the PCV with the download from FuelMoto, but it didnt seem to help.
It's only when its warm, but I dont think the bike is getting hot enough to switch to "Power Management Mode". It seems that the mixture isnt correct once the engine is good and warm and at a start from idle...
cant answer your question but I do have a PCIII ON A 06 RK with the same symptom, but is not happening all the time. Bike has 20,000 on it.
My first thought was the fuel management
Second maybe a dirty injector
Third intake leak

Any ideas?
Thanks!
I'm also having the same issue not good. Please keep me updated and if I get a answer first I'll let you know as I'm going to the dealer today.
Mine will hesitate as well. I just associated it with the temp control and rear cylinder cut off or perhaps to the TBW. I don’t even notice it anymore. It would be interesting to see if the new 08/09 TBW Thundermax ECU will take care of it... whenever it is finally released to the public!
I have had this happen to me a few times, I'm wondering if this is an issue with the PCV and 2009 EITMS being compatible. After the EITMS kicks in I have to really ease into the throttle or it stalls, or sometimes just dies.

It's kinda dangerous too - when you're at a light and it turns green and the bike stalls. I'm always affraid of getting rear ended by the car behind me....
I'm no expert on this stuff but when I had the problem I was told it was the throttle position setting being done while the engine was not hot enough. I re-did my throttle position setting procedure and all was well.
