Look in your manual on page 144. Turn off the EITMS heat management and see if that solves the problem. As said in the other posts, It can be a PITA sometimes.....I keep mine off.

Excellent suggestion Larry..... I checked mine and verified it was off. (the factory setting)
I think im going to let the bike warm up real good and hook up my laptop to the PCV and see what it shows for the throttle position.
Mine was doing the exact same thing
My indy checked the fuel pressure and was way below spec,
turned out to be the fuel filter was almost plugged
