It's a Skid Lid state alright. got stopped just outside of Morgantwon, and was told to go back across the PA state line.
Why? "cause they keer bout them ridder's"

or so thats what the State Trooper told me.

Yes. It's a 100% state according to the 50 State Helmet Law website.

ah, thanks. And I noticed the word "reflectorization" in the helmet law description...hhhmmm . none of the lids I own...nor any jacket for that matter, have any reflectorization....hhhmmmm.

But it's good to know they "keer". lol

Nothing like a 'nice' government looking out for me...having my best interests in mind. Gee thanks Big Brother...or should I say Big Government.

You've been lucky that they let you go back to PA without a ticket. I heard that right after PA repelled the helmet law, a group of Pittsburgh bikers went to Mountainfest and the cops were ambushed right after the state line. Those without a lid got nailed.

He was actually pretty cool about it. granted I had NY Veteran plates, my lady had her lid on and I didnt, I was coming from the Uniontown, PA Area on my way to Triple S Harley.

He lit me up, and said hey friend welcome to W.Va, we have a helmet law,
I was apologetic, and he said go on back from where ya came from, and get your helmet, cause we keer bout our ridders"

I thanked him, flipped around went back to Moms for my lid. laughing the whole way back. couldnt stop laughing over that

"We keer, for our ridders" comment.

Well, West Virginians are friendlier than most, even if people make fun of the way we talk. However, if you rode from Uniontown you know there is a uniqueness to western PA dialects as well.

Just glad you were stopped by someone who didn't want to ruin your day.

Yep, WVa is a helmet state...which is exactly why I don't cross the bridge much to go there, and therefore don't spend any $$ there...a beautiful state to ride in, but not worth the aggravation of doing so...
