Hogg Chopp Review
Hello all,
Ordered a set of Hogg Chopp from Andy (www.hoggchopps.com). He made sure I received them in time for my 2500 miles trip. Excellent communication and workmanship, color matching (Crimson Red Sunglo) is dead on.
I had buffeting from underneath even with 10.5" Clearview Recurve, HD adjustable fairing wings, HD fork baffle. I usually wear a Jack's Flap vest that helps cutting down on the air rushing up from underneath. Upon installing Andy's Hogg Chopps, buffeting TOTALLY gone. Very comfortable ride, even at times over 80mph, still can hear the stereo loud and clear (with Soundstream amp and Hogtune speakers.) And I can leave my vest off.
Got caught in a couple rainstorm, I wear HD raingear anyway, but the "stinging" from the rain is totally gone with the Chopps installed.
Extremely happy with the product and service. Contact Andy, you won't be disappointed. (BTW, I'm not related to Hogg Chopps or Andy in any way, just another satisfied customer)

Hogg Chopps are on my wish list. Been to the site and talked with them. Good people, who will listen to ya and explain anything you wanna talk about. And, at $399.00 painted to match, you can't beat the price. JMHO!!

I just contacted hogg chopps with some questions today, just before I did this search and found this thread.
I'm torn on the look myself. I'm not sure if I like them or not. The pictures are hard to get a good look. Some look good and others suck.
I had HD's on my Road Glide and loved the look and function.
But at this price I'm thinking it may be worth giving them a try on my Electra Glide.
Are they painted on the inside as well as the outside?
My bike is olive green pearl with vivid black. I was thinking the olive outside and black inside. Don't know if theres and up charge or not. I sent an e-mail and I'm waiting to hear back.
