By mini apes, I assume that you are thinking 10" or less. I had Wild1 575's on my 2001 FLHTC. Thought that the height and wrist angle were good, but the pullback was too much for me. [I'm 6'3" tall with 37" sleeve length]. Currently riding a 2005 FLHT and put Cyclesmith 10" bagger bars on this bike. All handlebar dimensions are about the same as Wild1, but the pullback is much less. These feel better to me. With that said, I just put a police air seat on the bike and may be going to Santee 11" apes as the police seat raises the rider.

You may want to go over to the Touring Forum. A lot of discussion re: apes on baggers over there.

Had 13" Cyclesmiths on the '07 SG I had. Loved the feel, but made the clutch a little stiff.

Check out the 8" mini-apes from www.wild1inc.com. They have a picture of one on a Street Glide on the front page of their website.

Here's a couple shots of my current +2 Sweepers (http://www.khromewerks.com/). These are powder coated black with +3 steel braided cables/brake lines. These bars moved my hands back 2" and up 2", they made a huge difference over stock. However, I got the itch and now I'm going higher for the appearance (I personally like the look of bagger apes). I just purchased a set of black 13" Cyclesmiths and Barnett Stealth Black cables. The black Sweepers and stainless +3 cables/lines were used for 5 months will be available next month, if interested PM me. Also, if you have a clean set of black (non-cruise) controls compatible for a '07 FLHX to trade, I will send the bars pre-wired (internally) ready to bolt on which will save hundreds on installation labor/time. These bars are notched for fly-by-wire so they will work on pre/post '07 batwing models.

I thought this as well on my 09 with cyclesmiths, but then I realized my clutch need more adjusting after replacing the cable. Now it pulls just like the original
