think i will have alot of problems getting a tittle? and is this a decent year harley? dont know much about them myself.

worst case i could probablly buy a frame with a tittle.
If you want the bike..
get any information available from seller:
If possible get copy of sale papers the seller got at purchase from uhaul.
Get any numbers off frame and motor..any other info. from bike stamped on it..year/model
GO to a TAG shop and explain situation...GO during their slow time..they would explain process...

I have heard that there are title research companies that will trace the V.I.N. and for around 300 bucks do the legwork necessary for getting you a clean new title. Will try to get more info for you and P.M. it.

A 1977 Harley has the ID number on the engine not the frame. But for 800 if it is running it's a steal.

I don't know much about the older bikes like that, but I do know that $800 does not buy much so it's not a bad deal at all if it runs and goes. I think here in Ohio you can file for a lost title on a vehicle that is older and left for dead so to speak. Check with your DMV and see how much of a pain it will be to get a new title. Or you could get a bike with say a bad engine or a frame with a title and make one custom and leagal bike.

Nothing sounds like a Shovel. Friends 79 is like heaven.
