Default Engine guard covers

I just bought a pair of splash guards the kind that go on the engine guard put them on they cut down on the air coming up in to my 3/4 helmet make the ride more enjoyable not having all that wind bounce vibrate your head and glasses. I just read the instruction sheet it says dont put them on above 50 degrees f may overheat engine. Has anybody had any dealings with them or problems as far as heating up engine too much.

If you are doing all highway, shouldn't be a prob. If you are in city or stop n go traffic and it is over 50 degrees, I wouldn't put em on.
