Default windshields

So, I haven't used approved 'soft' wipers for my HD windshield and now it shows some scratches. Is there a product to clear my shield?

Yep. Pick up Novus. They make a three stage system that will remove scratches and polish. They make a kit that you can find on line/Ebay

Have you tried this? I was told that once scratched the coating could not be polished.

Plexus. Some auto parts carry it, and JP and JC Whitney. We use it on aircraft windows.

There's also a product called Plexus.. it's a spray that's lexan and plexiglass safe.. they make a small version for a fork bag or saddlebag.. I use it with a micro fiber cloth and it works great. Cleans, takes the bugs, road tar whatever.. We use for for windshields and my darling spousal unit's face shield.. most bike shops around here, with the exception of our local harley dealer carries it

Interested to hear about how well this stuff works also, specifically the stage II and III stuff. Any input appreciated. Thanks

+1 On the Novus products. There are 3 different levels depending on how deep the scratches are. You may only need the finest grade.
Mequires Scratch-X works OK (you can get it at most department and auto parts stores) but IMO the Novus works better.
Use Plexus and a microfiber towel for cleaning.

I've never even heard of H-D approved soft wipers.

Another + for Novus. I've used it on my windshield several times. Most recently after my coast to coast ride. The windshield looks like brand new.
