I recently bought a self-assembled softail, and I love it. But it is titled as ASVE and my insurance company will not give me anything but liability on it. Now I spent a chunk of change on this thing, and I want it covered if I'm out on the road with all those cagers.
what insurance options are out there? I'm assuming guys get their $30,000 custom choppers insured somewhere, right? help me out, or I'm going to have to sell it!
I'm in SW Ohio... I found a couple companies online, but they seem to specialize in historic customs or high end show bikes... I just want full coverage on my lowly softail!
What is ASVE? I don't know what insurance company you have but Progressive allows you to insure custom bikes in increments of $1000. I have State Farm for everything except my bikes, SF won't insure for any customization where Progressive will.

My insurance is through progressive, and I was told by my agent that they wouldn't cover ASVE bikes with anything other than liability, ASVE means it was "Self-Assembled".
