My "10" Ultra Limited did not make the noises but just died on two occasions coming out of traffic signal and it would not start with just the start button but I had to recycle it through. This happened only into my second week with the bike at which I took it to the dealership and they could not duplicate this and they said it did not show any codes. So it should be only the fault of this EITMS system??? I work overseas so it is home sitting for another month at which point if it happens again then I will ask the dealership to take the system off......

You can disable it yourself, check the manual. However, I highly doubt EITMS is to blame. It only comes on at high temperatures and does not shut off both cylinders. Mine cuts on all of the time and no problems. I think something else is going on.

 

I'm truly amazed at how few people actually read the owner's manual.

 

ignition on yes, makes no difference if the motor is running or not.
