Has anyone renewed or registered their bike since 8-1-10 ? Did the state give you a sticker for the plate?.,

Get out while you can, brother! My wife and I did 4 years ago, never happier. 
In the meantime, NC did something like this this year, if I'm understand the OP correctly - no more inspection stickers, you must have the bike (cars, too) inspected before you renew, they will not renew your Reg without it having been inspected already - computers from the affiliate stations presumably tell the State you've gotten the vehicle inspected and it passed - and when your plate is renewed you get a sticker for your plate that tells the cop at a glance, if you have that year's sticker color - that your inspection and Reg are up to date.
Hope that made sense. Good luck and RUN out of that State! (Although I like what I hear of what Christie is doing as Gov...too little, too late for me....)
