I was talking to a guy who has a '08 Road Glide he said he put a SE 110 CI motor in it when he bought it from the dealership...I asked if it had been dyno'd and he said yes. I asked what the numbers were and he said: 92 HP and 87 ft/lb of torque.
Can this be right???

Reason I ask, my 106 CI with just cams puts out 109 HP and 114 Ft/lbs of torque...I would have guessed, that the SE 110 would be up in this class of both numbers...

 

It depends on which 110" he had done. Some kits are just Jugs and Pistons. Did they upgrade the Heads, put in new Cams Etc??? They do the same thing with the 103"

 

Don't honestly know, we were just talking about his RG and he said they put a SE 110 CI in instead of the stock 96. We didn't go into that much detail.

 

Sure it could be right. Is he happy with his? Are you happy with yours? Does it really matter?

 

Mines bigger than yours. It's all just a numbers game on the dyno anyway. The lower hp and tq numbers might be a more pleasant ride.

 

Not sure if it's right and like was said, did he just get the 110 CI kit or is it a built engine? I mean your VIC has a differant engine then the HD's so it's not 100% apples to apples. Sorry, but I would take his bike over your Vision any day of the week.

 

Probably still has the stock cams in it. There is no replacement for displacement but you still have to help it out if you want big numbers.

For someone to buy brand new bike and then spend probably another $6k-$8k just to put in a SE motor would IMO be unwise...

Just buy a cvo bike....

More likely he did the 110 BB. It all depend on if he did cams, heads with it too. makes a big difference...

The SE 110's dnyo's that Ive seen have been in the 85-90 for HP, and near 105 for TQ....

The results he ended up with IMO aren't very good..

Most 103 kits dyno sheets Ive seen with the ole se255 net 82ish HP and 103ish Tq...

 

2005 Road King, The number don't sound that bad to me, I just got my 114ci broke in and harley dinoed it yesterday. I have 114 ci big bore kit 10.5:1, ported heads, 1.94 intake 1.63 exhaust valves, S&S 585 gear drive cams (it's a road king so didn't want to go crazy on the cams), S&S super G w/ thunderjet carb, daytona twin tech adjustable igniton module and diamond terminator clutch. the number to the rear wheel are 117.49 Torque and 103.49 HP. i'm getting over 100 foot pounds of torque at 2500 rpm. She's a real ground thumper. It came from the factory w/ the 95 cu. in. big bore kit and that just wasn't enough power. Nothing like big torque when you twist the
throttle.

 

There are so many variables when it comes to making power,and no two engines are ever the same.One of the reasons some bikers are faster than others,you never really know what's lurking under the hood.
