Default Paint Chip

OK, so I dropped the bike in a tight down hill turn in gravel, now I needed to touch up a small chip on my fairing. I have HD touch up paint and sanded it with 1500 grid paper, but now I have a dull finish on that spot. Any recommendations on how to get the shine back. Wax didn't work.
Thanks

Almost ALL paints today are base coat/clear coat. A pro is the best bet. Touch up is made for small dings.
