Bought one a month ago also off of Craigslist. 2yrs old . With extensions, upgraded vise and fuel bottle retail new would have been a little over $1400 + freight.

Got my gently used one for $700 locally. No tax and no freight.

Great lift.

Maybe the effects of Harbor Freight & Salvage, and the (big) slow boat from China?

Has anyone heard any further information about Handy? I would sure like to
purchase one.

website is till up today and if you follow the links it will give you a dealer in your area. I assume they are around but selling through a dealer network only, most likely built to order.

If they are out of business how did i just order a the parts for my sam 1000???? They are in business and open.

Harbor Freight is going to put themselves out of business pretty soon the way they are acting.

If you cannot buy the Handi Lift try Direct Lift. It's a good lift and the company is stable.

Old thread, they reopened after the liquidation. I'm not sure how much changed,owner/management/quality.

Yeah but those "chinese" lifts are going strong at harbor freight! Must be something to do with the sweat shop labor costs and "chinese" steel.
Wish we could stop these damn imports!
