Default Compression releases

My comp releases are popping shut as soon as the motor turns over; before it has started...new ones doing the same...have to hold the front one in while turning the motor over or could wreck the starter clutch (have already) Any ideas? Friends 120R has opposite; releases are noticebly harder to push in and rear sticks.....

Wow,something sounds wrong. Is the bike hard starting??I have the ones with the black top & no problems.Actually my bike will start hot without them.I would say trying cleaning them.If that doesnt work, get your tune checked!!

My black ones don't stick either. Sure, my engine will start without pushing them in but it is a lot harder on the starter.
I would remove and try to lube them and ask the dealer (service manager) if he has seen this problem before.

My origionals (3yrs old) have the black buttons and the replacements are also black. The first time I went to start with the new ones they popped out as soon as the motor rotated...I'll have to ask the shop on Monday and see what they know/are willing to tell me.

I have had them stick open but not seen them pop close.

Maybe try a different brand?
