Why a leather vest?

'cause the ones made of fruit rollups get sticky when the sun comes out

 

I never really thought about it - I wear a vest almost all the time except during the summer, and even then at night - basically any time I'm outside or will be outside. Perfect layer clothing for the way I normally dress to hunt, fish or work outdoors - my business dress is casual (Wranglers, boots and a shirt) so a vest fits in with that too.

I don't own a leather vest (don't have anything against them, just don't have one); but I wear Carhartt, fleece or Filson vests all the time on the scoot - keeps the core warm without motion-inhibiting bulk in the arms, especially wearing a jacket.
