Rain in SoCal
I was planning to ride to the Long Beach Motorcycle Show today with a group of friends. It's the annual Cycle World show at the convention center in downtown Long Beach. It's a good show and several companies have bikes available for test rides.
Rain washed out the show. At least for my group. This is our third straight day of rain in SoCal, with at least three or four more days of rain on the way.
No, I don't have rain gear. I live in Southern California and I don't need it. We'll see if I buy rain gear when I retire and move out of California.

winter does suck here in so cal but it will be gone in a few days I hope
I know what you mean about rain gear I have a hard time spelling it and darn sure don't own any.
wish I had some comming back from palm springs run darn near drowned got both my pants and boots wet..
it doesn'train every day in oregon sometimes you have cal missed.
born and raised in coos bay area so have some experience with the weather

Yeah, it's all over the state. Looks like we'll have it through Christmas, hopefully we'll be dry starting the 27th. Got my rain gear, my son gave me an extra set that he got in the Air Force. Now Im just waiting to try out my Gerbing gear.

I've been trying to go to this show for 4 years now, and this year they move it up to the weekend before Christmas. It was going to be tough for me to go even if it didn't rain. I had tentatively planned to go, but the rain really killed it. There's always next year. Which I've been saying for 4 years now.

The rain is not what is bad it is the Christmas traffic.
And truthfully what a stupid time to have this show, So Cal is the largest market in the world and they hold the show the weekend before Christmas.
