I have an 06 ultra.....I would like to put an alarm on it as a deterrent and bit of piece of mind.. I was going to bite the bullet on a factory alarm last year...but wow it was not cheap and I could not do it myself...so I let it slide and did not install it.....

What are some other real good...cheaper....options that people have had success with....your help is appreciated!

Guard Dawg. It will disable the ignition when you walk away from the bike automatically. No siren or flashing lights but no one can start it. I have it on my 06 with the existing manual set alarm & if I forget to arm the factory alarm the guard dawg will disable the starter for me. It works as advertised & I got it on ebay at half price, even better. When I return the fob sends a signal & disarms the bike. The fob works on a motion sensor so if I'm sitting on my seat for a while & hit the starter it may not fire. A quick shake on the fob & she's ready to go.
