need to install a security system. can anyone recommend aftermarket alarm systems. Or give me the pros and cons over the factory alarm / security system. And for you jokers out there I already have a 18" double barrel 12 ga. and quite a few .45's ... so that end of my security system is covered.

You can buy the Harley security system that makes the starting system inop. and flashes the turn signals&nbsp\\;and or&nbsp\\;add a siren if you want noise. J&amp\\;P sells a system called Guard Dog. It is a fob and a plugin module. Without the fob near the bike, it will not start. Think Harley also makes a system that will call your cell phone if your bike is messed with, but not sure what years that will fit.

 

Do a search for the radio shack piezeo alarm mod. It is cheap (about $6) and works with the stock alarm setup and key fob for an 06.

 

thanks .. that is some good info. I wonder if anyone knows the harley part number for there plug in alarm / security system for a dyna 06 . And just how hard it is to do a DIY install and program the fob for the harley system. Does the pager / cell phone option come with directions so even an idiot can do it?.
