It may be easy to get to town in the morning, but it'll be terrible to get back. You'll be riding back past Thunder Alley, The Full Throttle, Glencoe, the drag strip, and Buffalo Chip.
They advertise being able to get back "in ten minutes."
Most nights it takes over an hour to get from downtown to Full Throttle. And it's only 2 miles. Better head out early and get home late. Does look like there might be a road to bypass Sturgis if heading to Rapid or Custer, Cemetery Drive/Old Stone Road.

If I remember right, that road is partially gravel, and last summer was under water during Sturgis week.
